I am Angélique Richard, a French artist currently working in my atelier in Lombardy, Italy.

As a reserved quiet person, drawing has always been my main way of expression. I am a self-taught artist who mainly focuses on pencil, soft pastel and charcoal which are my preferred techniques, as they allow me to be in direct contact with the texture and colors, using my fingers to melt them. 

My favorite subjects are animals and the human body. Through my drawings, I convey a strong state of mind, an opinion, a feeling about moments, facts, doubts or questions I find hard to express through words. It is not the subject itself that makes the sensitive viewer feeling close to the drawing, but the mind statement it illustrates. When identifying to the drawing, it becomes a testimony of who you truly are and of what you truly think.
